The equation tool

The equation tool allows inserting prewritten equations or allows you to create your own equations into the paper. It does so using Latex, a software for type setting. If you are not familiar with this, then tools such as chatgpt can help generate the code for it.

The equation tool is accessed by clicking the "E" icon in the tool bar, or by pressing 9:

After doing this, you will select where to place the eqaution, and then be presented with the following:

You can begin typing, use predefined symbols to help you or insert a predefined equation:

Once inserted the equation can be selected using the select tool, 4. This will allow it to be resized, or edited:

Please note: the colour set in the colour palette is the colour used for the text of the equation. At the current time of writing, it is not possible to edit this after the equation has been placed, so it should be changed prior to activating the equation tool.
